The On LightSpray Cloudboom Strike is a one-of-a-kind road racing shoe that’s built to excel in the marathon distance. Crafted with two layers of ultra-responsive Helion™ HF hyper foam and a spoon-shaped carbon-fiber plate, this racing shoe helps maximize energy return while offering a bouncy underfoot feel, perfect for longer races.
The most groundbreaking aspect of this road racer is found in the upper, using On’s LightSpray technology. An ultra-thin, second-skin style upper is formed from a single filament that’s been spun by a robot. That may sound like a science fiction headline, but it’s what’s actually happening today. This upper is exceptionally lightweight and breathable, with some extra elasticity to remove the need for laces.
A stiff, spoon-shaped carbon-fiber Speedboard® in the midsole acts as a spring, absorbing energy and returning it to the forefoot, creating powerful take-offs. You’ll also find On CloudTec® elements strategically placed to aid in faster, smoother transitions, helping to increase your overall running efficiency.
